Blogger is an entirely free blogging platform which is used by thousands of professional blogger worldwide. If you are using blogger, then it is known to you that the customization of a blogger blog is little complicated. As Blogger is a free blogging platform, It deserves the credit and shows that the blog is “powered by blogger” by default.
While customizing our blogger blog, many of us don’t want to show this “powered by blogger” credit line. Many of us think that this could harm the professionalism of blogging. But I personally believe that blogger deserves the credit line so we should not remove it. You can redesign and represent this credit line as the way you want but completely removing this credit is not fair.
But still, if you don’t need to show this powered by blogger attribution in your blog then here is a solution. For removing this credit line, you can edit your blogger template. Here is my step by step solution:
Remove Powered By Blogger Attribution:Step 1: Go to blogger.com and sign in to your blogger account. Select the blog and go to the blogger dashboard.
Step 2: Click on the “Template” section from the left menu.
Step 3: Now click on the “Edit HTML” button. You can see the screenshot:
Step 4: Right above the HTML editor you can see a button named “Jump to widget.” Click on this button and go to “Attribution1” from the list.
Step 5: After clicking on the “Attribution1” link, you will see the attribution line in the HTML editor. Otherwise, you can find this line manually by pressing “Ctrl+F.”
<b:widget id='Attribution1' locked='true' title='' type='Attribution' visible='true'>
Here locked=”true”. Only replace this true with false. So the attribution locked=”false”. After replacing the attribution line will look like:
<b:widget id='Attribution1' locked='false' title='' type='Attribution' visible='true'>
Now click on the “Save Template” button. You have unlocked the attribution removal. Now let's remove powered by blogger from your blog.
Step 6: After editing and saving blogger template go to the “Layout” section. Find the “Attribution” gadget and click on the edit link. Here you can see the remove button has appeared.
Click on the “Remove” button to completely remove powered by blogger attribution from your blogger blog. Save every change and you are done. This is very simple after editing the blogger template.
